Round 3 Triple Crown Saddle Up Series - Obstacles

🌟 New Riders Welcome! You do not need to have competed in Round 1 or Round 2 to enter. 🏆 Triple Crown Saddle Up Series – Round 3: Obstacle Challenge It's time for the final round of the 2026 Triple Crown Saddle Up Series! Whether you're tackling your very first obstacle or you're an experienced obstacle rider looking for a challenge, this event is designed to be fun, supportive and rewarding for everyone. To help riders prepare, we're releasing the full list of obstacles that may be encountered on the day. Divisions 🐴 Led * Open to horses and handlers of all ages. * Horse must be led for the entire course. * Riders competing in the Led division cannot enter any other division. 👦 Junior * Under 12 years * 12–17 years 🌱 Beginner (Adults Only) Designed for riders and horses that are new to obstacle competition. The Beginner division is intended for combinations that are still building confidence. Rider eligibility: * Adults only (18+) * Walk and trot only. * Suitable for riders who are new to obstacle competition or are competing but not yet placing in Novice divisions. The Event Organiser reserves the right to move a rider into the Open division if they believe the combination has sufficient experience that the Beginner division would no longer provide a fair competition. ⭐ Open * Open to riders of all ages. * Walk, trot and canter permitted where appropriate. --- Entry Fees * Adults: $30 * Juniors: $20 * Led: $10 Prize Money A fantastic 70% payback will be returned to competitors in every division. Example: 10 riders × $20 entry = $200 collected $140 returned as prize money Prize money will be paid: 🥇 50% - First 🥈 30% - Second 🥉 20% - Third (Prize money is calculated separately for each division.) --- Obstacles The following obstacles may be included: * Bridge * Maypole * Carousel * Pool Noodle Chute * Gate * Mattress * Water Box * Flag Carry * Drag * Rope a Cow Head * Box Turn * Archery Shoot * Roll Back Knowing the obstacles beforehand allows everyone the opportunity to practise and arrive feeling confident. --- Order of Events 1. Led 2. Under 12 3. 12–17 Years 4. Beginner 5. Open --- Competition Rules * Riders will have 30 seconds per obstacle. * Obstacles will be judged on safety, horsemanship and successful completion rather * Riders may attempt obstacles in a calm and controlled manner. * Horses may refuse an obstacle without elimination. Riders are encouraged to regroup and continue where possible. * Excessive use of whips, spurs or harsh handling will not be tolerated. * Junior riders must wear an approved riding helmet and everyone must wear suitable riding footwear. * Tack must be safe and in good working order. * Horses showing signs of lameness or distress may be withdrawn at the discretion of the judge. * The Judge's decision is final. * The organising committee reserves the right to alter obstacles or rules if required for safety or weather conditions. This event is all about encouraging horse and rider partnerships, building confidence and having fun while challenging yourselves in a supportive environment.
